Every day, we see firsthand how reading expands a child’s horizons. Our belief that all children should have access to books  both at school and at home - leads us to participate in literacy initiatives across the nation.

Are You Considering Selling Your Child Care Business?

We are currently evaluating acquisitions of single or multi-center operators in selected target markets which meet the following criteria:

  • Annual revenues of $1,000,000+ per center
  • Licensed capacity of 120+ per center
  • Strong cash flow margins
  • Building size of 8,000+ square feet per center
  • Owned or leased property
  • Community-based or employer-sponsored enrollment

We are also considering acquisitions of businesses or service offerings that will complement and strengthen the operations of any of our Knowledge Universe brands.

A Trusted Partner For You And Your Business

Knowledge Universe has a long track record of successfully acquiring and integrating businesses.  Our approach is to partner with you throughout the process to determine if a sale is right for both of us and ensure there is a cultural and operational fit.

We utilize a simple four-step acquisition process:

  1. Initial Business Evaluation (after execution of a Confidentiality Agreement)
  2. Agreement on Initial Transaction Terms (Letter of Intent)
  3. Due Diligence and Integration Planning
  4. Negotiate Purchase Agreement and Close Transaction

We will work with you to plan the transition and ensure that parent, staff and community relationships are integrated in a thoughtful manner.  Our goal is to develop an integration plan that minimizes disruption to the children and families, and retains the quality and staff that you have worked so hard to develop.  We will consider continued employment for you in a mutually beneficial leadership capacity, as desired.

The Benefits Of Joining Our Organization

We encourage an entrepreneurial approach to operations where our center directors make the day-to-day business decisions.  We recognize that each center services the unique needs of its families and community, and we stand behind every leader with our extensive resources.  Corporate-level support includes: Education and Training, Benefits, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, Risk Management, Procurement, Facilities, Accounting and Technology.
